Monitoring & Evaluation

Institute's monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Wing has been carried out various assignments on M&E in past years. These assignments have been sponsored by department of Industries, Govt. of U.P., State Urban Development Authority, U.P, Mid Day Meal Authority, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), UNICEF. Institute offers consultancy services also for its expertise.

Monitoring Assignment : Physical Verification of units established in Jharkhand under Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Programme (PMEGP) during 2010-12.  
Sponsored by : Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, and KVIC State Office, Ranchi, Jharkhand
Time line : July, 2014 – December, 2014 (ongoing)
Objectives :
  • To carry out physical verification of 100% units located in urban and rural areas To confirm whether the unit is satisfactorily working as per the norms of KVIC
  • To gather information from the concerned financing banks in the area
  • To analyze the gathered information
  • To submit analytical report on the physical verification to KVIC
Coverage : 3917 units established in all the 24 districts of Jharkhand.

Study Title :

Evaluation of Mid-day Meal Scheme

Time line : October 2012 – May, 2013
Objectives :
  • To assess the role of responsible member for quality and quantity distribution of MDM
  • To assess the basic amenities available at school level
  • To assess the quality and quantity of food supply
  • To evaluate the role of supporting organizations in execution of scheme
  • To evaluate the role of DLC/MAS
  • To assess the systems of record keeping and documentation
  • To evaluate the impact of scheme
  • To give suggestions for improving the schemes
Coverage : 2000 Schools of different category in 20 districts of U.P. covering 20,000 respondents altogether
