Recently, it has become a general or mandatory expectation of most of the Government departments that trained participants of skill development and self-employment trainings should establish their own business unit or training institution should take the responsibility of connecting them with gainful employment. Quality of training is, generally, assessed now on these two indicators. In many programmes, funding departments expects to engage atleast 75% participants with employment, and/or they should continue in their respective jobs for atleast six months.
Besides, there is a policy in State, Central Government and Public Enterprises that services for the posts of class-III and IV should be outsources. At present, HR agencies in the market, are mostly private bodies, except U.P.Soldier Welfare Corporation, which provides services of class III and IV on outsourcing basis, but only engage ex-servicemen in these jobs.
In order to meet this requirement emerging in different sectors, Institute is setting up a Human Resource Support and Placement Cell which would cater not only Institute's requirements but address the HR requirements of various organizations and government departments as well. The cell will identify the requirements emerging at the level of various departments, organizations, identify the skill gaps, maintain a Human Resource Database and Information system, and provide HR support to the interested organizations.
